Welcome to Bolton CHA Rambling Club

Founded in 1905 the Club celebrated its Centenary year in 2005. We’re very active and we extend a warm welcome to all walkers and lovers of the countryside. We’d particularly welcome new members of all ages to join us on one of our many planned walks. We’re based in Bolton in Lancashire and have members of all ages and from a range of backgrounds. For a modest annual fee you can enjoy all the hidden delights of rural Lancashire and beyond the best way there is, on foot!

Try us out first? We’ll introduce you to walks you may not know and in turn you can offer us your favourites. Choose an easy-going walk to start and move up to greater challenges later if you wish.

Contact the Membership Secretary, Gill Chivers on 01204 695567 or click here to email the Club. Annual membership is £12.00 p a + £2.00 admin fee for year 1 (Juniors under 16 pay £6.00 per year + a £2.00 admin fee for year one only).

The Countrywide Holiday Association, (C.H.A.) originally had holiday centres throughout the country. The company ceased trading in the 1990’s but many of the Clubs have continued to use the name of the Association and have flourished by offering different activities to members.
