The details of walks will be announced by leaders on the coach, on the day of travel.  Comfort stops (if any) and length of travel will also be announced.  Full payment of £10.00 should be sent, when booking, to the under mentioned coach organisers, from the stated dates.


All cheque's must be made payable to Bolton C.H.A. and not the coach organisers.  If vacancies exist one week before the trip is due, non members, including accompanied children, may apply.  The fee for children aged 16 or under, will be £5.00.

All coach journeys start and finish at Bolton Bus Station, Moor Lane (Stand Z). On journeys using the M61 northwards, the coach may pick up/drop off passengers near the Bee Hive Roundabout, Chorley New Road, by arrangement. No other stops will be made.

The Secretary is responsible for:

Collecting all monies.

Sending ALL monies to the Treasurer

Ensuring leaders have a reserved seat on the coach.

Contacting the coach company to confirm seat numbers.

Ensuring the company & driver are aware of drop off & collection points that any of the walking parties wish to make for starting/ending their walks.

Ensuring all members are on the coach.

Checking the coach for left luggage.


The walk leaders are responsible for:

Finding and reconnaissance of appropriate walks.

Announcing the routes, distances and any other relevant information regarding the walks, on the coach, on the day.

Leading the walks on the day.

The Countrywide Holiday Association, (C.H.A.) originally had many holiday centres located throughout the country. In the 1990’s the company ceased trading, however many of the Clubs that were formed have continued to use the name of the Association and have flourished by offering different activities to members.
