21st March

 

1) NEW CAR RAMBLE - HASLINGDEN MOOR - 507 bus and cars to Morrison’s, Harwood at 9.45 for transport to Calf Hey Reservoir CP (Grane Road) A6232 (GR SD754228) for 10.30 start. Egerton Moss, Pickup Bank, Nab Hill, Musbury Heights. Y.M/R. 8 miles. Jeanette Hill (T. 01706 822176)

 

2) YARROW RESERVOIR - 125/26 bus to Crown Hotel, Horwich.  Cars to Lever Park Ave for 10.30 start. Rivington School, Bungalow Grounds, Pigeon Tower, Rivington, Dean Brook, Yarrow Reservoir East, Yarrow Reservoir West, Fishermans’ Walk, Dryfield Lane, Horwich.

1) SUMMERSEAT - 273 bus to Ramsbottom.  Meet at Station CP for 10.30 start. Nuttall Park, Summerseat, Walmersley, Lowes Park Golf Club, Walmersley Golf Club, Buckhurst, Nangreaves, Nuttall Park, Ramsbottom Station. Y.M. 8 miles. Alan Turner

  

2) AROUND ANGLEZARKE - 125/26 bus to Crown Hotel, Horwich.  Meet cars at Lever Park Ave at 10.05 for transport to Anglezarke CP for 10.30 start. Lead Mines Clough, Hempshaws, Spitlers Edge, Great Hill, Drinkwaters, White Coppice, Anglezarke East. 9 miles. Celia Isherwood

1) YARROW VALLEY - 535 bus and cars to Belmont Bull pub for 10.30 start.  Cars park on side streets to rear of pub. Hordern Stoops, Higher Hempshaws, Simms, Lead Mines Clough, Dean Wood, Rivington, Lower Barn, Pigeon Tower, Catternab, Belmont. Y.M. 8 miles. Frank Atherton & Roy Neary
